Babylon Public Library

Curbside Service

Beginning June 15th, the library will be offering Curbside Service Monday through Saturday 11am – 4pm.

Curbside Service lets you reserve books, DVD’s and other materials for contactless pickup at the library.  You can  reserve items owned by the Babylon Library.  You can reserve  materials from another library, (ILL), however it will take longer, as the delivery service between libraries is still limited. You can reserve items by: placing a hold via the online catalog, calling 631-669-1624, or emailing requests to info@babylonlibrary.org.

When your items are ready, a staff member will notify you by phone and set up a time and date for you to pick up your items.

When you arrive to pick up your materials, the pick up will be at a table in front of the library. The items you requested will be in a bag labeled with your last name and first initial. The items will already be checked out you.   Please pick up your materials at the appointed time.

If there is inclement weather, the table will be inside the lobby. Face coverings will be required for pickup in the lobby and only one person at a time should enter the lobby to pick up items.

If you have materials to return, they should be placed in the book drops in front of the library.  All returned items are quarantined for 72 hours before they are available to the community. That means it may take up to a week for materials to be removed from your account. If the items were borrowed from another library, please allow at least two weeks for items to be fully cleared from your account.

We are not charging any late fees during this time.
